Hello, this is Richard Friesen with another tongue-in-cheek edition of Rich’s Reframes.
The phrase tongue-in-cheek comes from Sir Walter Scott in 1828 to help visualize someone who bites their tongue to keep from laughing, but this tongue-in-cheek may draw blood!
Now that the election is finally over my progressive and leftist friends are really happy. We just rid ourselves of the orange man who single-handedly was planning to revive the ku klux klan, the nazis, the white nationalists and put white male overlords in charge of the nation.[/one_half_last]
What a relief we can now go back to living our lives without this fear…but wait, this is really bad news for my conservative and libertarian friends.
The four years of fear that the left has endured has just been dropped like a pile of crap on the right. This fear is just as intense for them. Yes, we are facing a one-party future, the SCOTUS will be packed with social activists, the District of Columbia will become a state, the election voting process will remain a closely guarded secret that shows more Democratic votes than voters!
Well at Rich’s Reframes we don’t just exaggerate problems to make ourselves feel righteous and victimized, no, no we reframe problems so they can be solved.
Now that the left’s political problems are just over as they unite and share power peacefully without infighting, I need to concern myself with the pain of my Conservative and my Libertarian friends. So this episode is just for them.
If you are a Democrat a Progressive or a Leftist I trust you to turn off this podcast and not listen to it, but if you’re a conservative, a Republican, a Libertarian – stay tuned for the solution of the socialist takeover of our country.
This solution will leave you feeling empowered and hopeful not just for yourself but for the future of your children and grandchildren, plus I personally guarantee that you’ll have more fun than you’ve ever had with your clothes on.
Okay my left leaning friends you can sign off right now. Okay now this is just for you, my friends who are conservatives and libertarians and worried about the future of our country.
You’re right, we’re going down the road of a one party system now. Since the left and the liberals aren’t here we can talk honestly about what you can do to have a better future under a one-party autocracy.
How do you feel when you play the takeover movie in your head? I know many of my libertarian and conservative friends may feel just oppressed when they play the movie of totalitarian socialism coming to the country.
It’s so easy to feel victimized by the thought of social activists taking over our health care, our economy and imagining and managing every detail of our lives. You will be punished for supporting the orange man and you have to be really careful about what you say to your neighbors and at work.
Our social media history can convict you without a trial but the good news is that free speech platforms are being eliminated so you have fewer places to say something that could end your career. Now most of you are whining and complaining like sissies. This is a cry of a mealy-mouthed wimpy loser, but it doesn’t have to be that way.
Now here’s the reframe: are you ready get out a pad of paper and a pencil and write this down?
The solution is in only four words. Since you’re a libertarian or conservative you probably have enough memory cells to even remember them without writing them down, so here goes.. you ready?
Join the Democratic party.
Four words – join the democratic party – if it’s a one-party world, let’s join the party and have some fun. No, no, no, no, no! I’m not talking about fighting it from the inside, no, no, no.
I’m talking about taking up their own beliefs and pushing them even further. That’s right, join the democratic party, register as a Democrat, join all the local Democratic groups, join all the environmental groups, join the social justice warriors.
Whatever groups they’re on that you can find that are on the left, go out and riot with them. Well, they may not be rioting now that you know the Democrats are in power and they’ve got everything they want. Oh never mind, they can’t get everything they want but they may still be rioting.
But anyway, if you’re joining a planning committee for the Democratic party for example, and they suggest raising the minimum wage to say $15, you can say right on brother, these poor people don’t have enough money to live on and you want to raise it to just 15 dollars? Everyone in the group’s going to gasp let’s raise it to $25 i mean if $15 is good, $25 is even better!
Now here’s the secret. Nobody can argue with you. If they do, you can cancel them immediately by accusing them of racism. If they were to say something like well now, well that’s a little bit too much because the cost would go up for the poor, it would remove that first rung of the ladder for the young people who want to get into the workforce…well then, you’ve got them they are destroying their own argument.
Successful free leaders on the left control the party by taking every issue just one step further. The leaders are the people who have gone the farthest. Now with this trip you can now become leaders in the democratic party and all other liberal groups. If you joined an environmental group and it wants to ban petroleum in five years you say we’re going to ban petroleum tomorrow. All of us are going to take a pledge that none of us are going to drive cars anymore or use electricity that is generated by petroleum.
You just take every policy and push it further. You ask them to sign a pledge you will be the purest, the most righteous leftist they have ever met. You will ascend to the heights of leadership and from this commanding height you can take the group that you’re in and push them to the extreme on every issue. Not just to defund the police, but hey, let’s eliminate the police! If they object, they’re obviously using the police to protect their white privilege.
Not just stop the keystone pipeline, stop all drilling in the united states. If anyone objects that would make us for example make us dependent on foreign oil then they’re arguing against their own position. If the group advocates for a guaranteed annual income of say $15000 for everybody in the United States, it’s obvious it doesn’t go far enough. I mean who can really thrive on that? What if you’re an artist and you just need to express yourself? Can you really do that on fifteen thousand a year and buy all your art supplies?
I think not, you say, the guaranteed annual income should be 40 000 a year so people are free to follow their passion and do what feels right in their hearts you know otherwise you’re just forcing them into a job and to be subservient to the man with white privilege. now who can argue against that?
If you get any pushback they will be arguing against their own position, and you will quickly occupy the moral high ground and become the unquestioned leader. Just look at the faces behind me, you will create the purest the noblest, the most righteous and the most radical future for the Democratic party.
Imagine, just imagine if every libertarian and conservative took this advice. Imagine if each of you joined and became the most enthusiastic volunteer of every leftist organization – each of you would command that group in weeks.
If the u.s is a one-party town you can either be a victim or you can be its leader, you can be fearful and huddle in a corner or you can have a lot of fun. You can be depressed or you can be energized. Every disaster is an opportunity in disguise and you can put on your own disguise and create an opportunity of a lifetime. Oh, and I’ll let you know when it’s time to come out of the closet and laugh our heads off.
